Tuesday - SPTG Meeting - Our first SPTG meeting is at 6:45 on Tuesday in the cafeteria. Teachers are available for childcare on the playground while parents attend the meeting.
Wednesday is Hat Day! Students may donate $1 towards the Gapsch fund, and wear a hat of their choice to school on Wednesday.
Thursday- Math Quiz - Students will have a math quiz over Chapter 2. They are expected to compare and order numbers (pay attention to the directions...Least to Greatest or Greatest to Least!), organize numbers and information in a table, and round numbers to a given place value. Study guides will come home on Wednesday, and we will review as a class before the quiz.
Friday is Back to Football Friday. Students are invited to wear their Rams or football gear to school on Friday. We will have an all-school assembly in the morning to celebrate the NFL Play 60 program.
Regular curriculum continues in all subjects. In reading, students continue to build reading stamina. Nightly homework is 15 minutes of reading, and students must write what they read directly into their planners. Students begin a unit on map skills in social studies, and continue learning about the Scientific Method in science. In writing, students continue to build writing stamina. They should be writing for 5 minutes for homework each night.
